About AP – the Evangelical Reformed Christian Magazine

Distribution:
AP is a full-colour gloss, reformed, evangelical magazine, with over 20,000 copies distributed free-of-charge quarterly to evangelical and reformed ministers and congregations, Christian schools, theological colleges, Christian campsites, campus ministries and mission organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. For a small charge (to cover overseas postage), we can make AP available on the mission field and to other overseas customers. The magazine is also available (free-of-charge) as an eCopy (pdf format). Back issues (back to 1998) can be viewed or downloaded, offering the reader a valuable resource.

Theological Stance and Confessional Integrity:
AP is the National Journal of the Presbyterian Church of Australia (PCA). As such, it reflects the confessional stance of the PCA – we believe the Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word of God that points us to the Son of God, Jesus Christ our only Lord and Saviour. We take seriously the gospel message and we seek to represent faithfully the Westminster Confessional standards.

Visual Branding:
The name of the magazine changed from Australian Presbyterian to AP in January 2012, with a simultaneous updating of its appearance, to make more obvious its enormous relevance to the broader evangelical, reformed community throughout Australasia. As a result, its ministry has expanded. However, its purpose, confessional integrity and international relevance remain unchanged in the objectives and goals espoused above.

Content:
Every issue of AP is devoted to a particular theme. Each issue features a major interview with an internationally renowned author or theologian, together with supporting articles, world news and book reviews. We live in an age where the Christian church generally is ‘dumbing-down’ its worship and teaching, to the impoverishment of its members. The desire of the AP Committee and Editorial Team is to encourage and strengthen believers in the faith and challenge non-believers to examine the claims of Jesus Christ.

Past Issues:
Many of the issues we have handled have been appreciated by our readership. We have received very positive responses to the issues on Science & Faith, Same-Sex Marriage, Vocation, Intelligent Design, Natural Law, Paul: The Right Perspective, The Small Church, By Grace Alone and The Lord’s Supper – to mention just a few. We regularly receive requests for re-prints of our articles from other international journals in the UK, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
